Privacy
This page describes PrinterCare's product design. If activation, payment, or update services are added for release, the corresponding processing details will be added here.
Local device operations
PrinterCare detects printers over local USB, reads waste ink counters, and performs maintenance reset after user confirmation. Counter reading does not automatically upload printer serial numbers, USB identifiers, print content, or document information.
Diagnostic logs
Local operation logs record timestamps, operation types, printer models, counter percentages, and error codes. Diagnostic information you choose to copy also contains the app version, operating system version, connection type, and support status. The product is designed not to log usernames, file names, print content, printer serial numbers, or local file paths.
Windows logs are stored in %LocalAppData%\PrinterCare\Logs; macOS logs are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/PrinterCare/Logs. You can delete logs from those directories. Uninstalling the app does not automatically remove this personal data.
License information
Pro licensing covers up to two specified printers, not computers. A printer code is derived locally from a digest of the model and device-reported serial number; the app does not store or automatically upload the raw serial number. The client verifies a digital signature offline and does not contain the signing private key. If you email the developer about licensing, you choose whether to include the printer code; the app does not upload it automatically.
Information you choose to share
Printer codes or diagnostics leave your computer only when you choose to copy and send them. Review the information before sending it. This website currently has no account login, purchase form, or diagnostic upload.
